Last night, the Above All cast performed its penultimate service. It was a night full of emotion and spiritual power. The audience was energized as always, but there was something special about this night. I recap that special feeling and anointing today.
Two Powerful Words
Two of the cast members addressed the cast last night before we walked over. The first was Brad Allison. He plays a priest, a group with a heavy burden on them. While other performers who come to "hate" Jesus in the play, the priests despise him from the outset and hold that hate throughout the production. To never have a thought or care for Christ is a difficult thing to prepare, especially because most of the priests are Bible Study Leaders, Sunday School Teachers and Altar Workers. It's a difficult task to separate yourself from your life's passion to become something so opposed to your calling and work. They do this and it makes a difference in how this production works. It makes it real.
Brad came with a word for the entire cast. We have poured ourselves out throughout the practices, preproduction and performances. We've prayed that God would bless those who come to see us and that even those who don't come would be affected by the Spirit that we have welcomed into our city. Brad proclaimed from his heart what God had told him: tonight was for us. We were still going to reach for every person in the audience, but God was going to bless us, reveal to us and answer for us the issues we have faced.
Troy came to the podium and shared a thought that had to this point been private between him and us Apostles. He had seen a vision of two suns. They were beside each other and both at the same level. One had a rainbow beneath it. Troy said that what he felt from that vision was that there are answered promises before us, fulfilled promises from our past that testify of God's goodness. However, also before us are promises that have yet to be fulfilled. For those yet fulfilled promise, a rainbow is coming. We just have to hold on and believe. Combined with the word from Brad Allison, our faith was such that everyone in the cast began to speak in tongues in the prep room. We carried over these two words into the performance and poured ourselves out before God believing that His promises to us would come true.
Altars During the Performance
During the performance, there were cast members getting a hold of each other and praying together. Some people were so anointed, the backstage crew had to help settle them down so they didn't get to loud in the back during the scenes. You could feel the Holy Ghost permeating the backstage areas and it was difficult to not let it out when we got on stage. It's such a wonderful thing to be a part of a church and a production where the Spirit of God is so powerful and present.
One of the director girls came up to us Apostles and requested prayer for her family. Her family has gone through a very tragic experience lately. We laid hands on her and the Holy Ghost filled the room we were standing in. She was blessed and left feeling empowered by God rather than oppressed by her situation.
Results and A Great Offer
In the altar last night, 11 people received the Holy Ghost. That has brought the number of those filled with the Spirit of God to 109 and those baptized to 31. So many have been healed and families have been made whole. They've come from all kinds of backgrounds, situations and ways of thinking. Through it all, though, they've had a similar experience: God has moved on them and they have received exactly what He desires for them. It's not done yet, either. We have one more night, and I believe we are going to experience the greatest night in Above All history. Tonight, POA is making Above All available online. You can go here to sign up to watch it. With Above All going out over the web, we know that countless people will be blessed, delivered and saved. A great rainbow of promises is coming tonight. We hope you join us and claim your promise! Please tell us in the comments if you choose to join us.
