Directed To Testify We've examined how devotion to our testimony will improve our witnessing and what we can do when we face adversity to our testimony. Today, we turn our attention to focused use of our testimony. We've learned about the need to devote time to both developing and living our personal testimonies. In that lesson, we saw that our testimony can be one of the most effective witnessing tools we have available to us because it shows Christ alive and working even in this day. Even with a testimony in hand, though, we aren't always guaranteed to be successful. Today, we examine what we can do in the face of adversity to our testimony.
We've examined the elements of faith and prayer in relation to our witness over the last couple of weeks. This week, we turn to the 3rd crucial element to our witness. When combined with the previous two, we have the ability to win thousands of people to the Lord, shake the world, both literally and figuratively, and see our witness spread into every area of our culture and lives. What is that third element? Find out below
Direction Through Prayer We've examined how devotion to prayer prepares us to use it as a witness and we've seen that we can't let unanswered prayer or silent times from God hinder us in our use of prayer for those in need of witnessing. Today, we conclude our 2nd part of 3DW by looking at how, after having devoted ourselves to prayer and determined to pray even in difficult times, we can now effectively use prayer in the lives of those for whom we reach. This directed prayer is not a new concept, but one that is outlined throughout the Book of Acts.
Determined Prayer We mentioned last time how our devotion to prayer will lead us to both support witnesses as well as build our own witness. Today, we take that built witness and we put determination behind it. Today, we decide that our prayers are going to have impact and the people we pray for and with are going to be blessed, saved and redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
Prayer is something that we at tWTL Ministries take seriously. At some point, each of our series takes on this important subject. We believe that by examining prayer, we can come to understand its power more completely. Like any other tool or idea, the more you study and practice it, the more effective you become using it. This week, we will study prayer as a witnessing tool. How can prayer help us to reach a lost and dying world? Find out the first part of this answer below.
Directed By FaithWe've seen what happens when we become devoted to our faith and what happens when we are determined to spread it. We conclude this first week of 3DW by looking at how we are directed by our faith. What happens when we aren't focused on the things we need and want, but rather what our faith speaks to us? Find out and get better directed in your witness:
Determined Faith We've seen earlier how having a passion and a heart for our faith will drive us to spread our witness to others. Today we go further by looking at determined faith. Determination is the mindset that nothing is going to stop you from completing your goal. You've decided within yourself that your pursuit is right and worthy. Whatever it takes to achieve that goal, you are willing to do. Having this mindset and persistence with our faith will make us into the most effective witness we can be. Here's how:
As followers of Christ, we are called to be carriers of His message. We are witnesses of the One who saved us from our sins. Within us, we bear the message of salvation, deliverance, redemption and prosperity. We must let it come out. That is what this series is about. As mentioned in our preview, each week we will cover a topic as it relates to the Three D's of witnessing: devotion, determination and direction. Through these filters, we will see how to utilize our witness in a deep and fully-developed way. We start our journey with Faith and our devotion to it.
