Like Matthew and Mark, does Luke's backstory tell us more about why Christ chose him to recount His life and ministry? What does this choice mean to us today? Week Two (5/10) The Story of Mary Matthew spent a good deal detailing Joseph, the surrogate father of Jesus. Luke, meanwhile, focuses on the mother of Jesus. In fact, we get most of what we know about Mary from Luke. She has become an important and central figure in many Christian's lives. Find out what Luke recorded about it, knowing that his words were inspired and directed by the voice of God. Week Three (5/17): Jesus, the Philosopher?
