Psalm 145 is our reference this week.
Example It To Others Through Praise (v.4-10) When we've gotten a vision of the glory of God, we need to praise him in our conversation towards others. This isn't necessarily prayer but more like the term "singing one's praises." When something good happens to us, we need to tell people about it and make sure to give God the glory for his role in it. When we've faced a tough situation, we can still praise God by talking about how through it all He was with us. By speaking praises to God in our conversation it reveals His potential to the person we are speaking to. This gives them a better vision of Him. Talk About What God Has In His Possession (v.11-17) God deserves credit for who He is and what He does. When we get an opportunity to brag about God's Kingdom and the power He exhibits in this life, we need to do it. It might seem crazy to some people, but others will perk up their ears. They'll want to know about this great God of whom we speak. They will want to know about the power He possesses. We might find it surprising how little people know of God outside of a handful of Sunday School lessons. What's greater: we might find out how interested they are in learning more. Tell Them What God Will Do For Them (v. 18-20) Most people don' realize what God can and will do for them. They see Him as a distant and uninterested entity who is too busy for them. After all, most everybody else in life is. We have to let them know that God is willing and able to step into their lives and do marvelous things. They are valuable to God and to us, God's servants. We can offer to pray for them in that moment and let them feel just how special they are in the eyes of God. When we do pray for an individual, we need to let them know its not just our desire to pray for them. It is God's desire that led us to them. When they see how much God loves them, that he would send one of His servants to reach out to them, how much easier will it be for them see who He is for them? Get A Greater Passion If we will start talking about what God has done for us, who God is and what He possesses, and what God wants to do for those we witness to; we are going to see a remarkable revival in our communities in world. It takes a passionate heart and a clear vision to spot those in need. It takes a greater desire to go to them and help them to see God. Do we have that extra desire. Are we going to step out? Service Pray this week for God to send you to someone in need of Him. Let the Spirit of the Lord lead you to them and what to say. Looking over Psalm 145 can help you in preparing what to say. However, it needs to be God's words in your voice. See who He leads you to and what it does for both them and you.
