Here at TWTL, we always try to bring our audience quality devotions and reviews of events we attend or are involved in. After the success of the past two years with BOTT on YouTube, we are planning to expand our content on that platform.
We will still bring you devotions on this website, though. In fact, we are planning to couple our YouTube videos with written content on this site. Typically, written content will come out first with a video to follow. Of course, we might flip that depending on the video or our coverage approach at the time (i.e. events are easier to do video/audio first and then written recaps later)
An example of this would be our Final Review of BOTT this year. We had a written review and video and each received positive feedback. The written review was short and to the point with each item we covered, while the video expanded on the idea further and had a more personal touch to it. This dual format will allow us to cover topics more thoroughly and relate with you guys better. You can read the post here and watch the video here to get a better idea of our new format and how they will work hand-in-hand.
So what can you expect from TWTL in the coming months? We've already announced that we will be covering Above All on out BOTT Final Recap video. That will take up most of our coverage time in the next two months. We'll be releasing a tentative schedule on that on Friday along with an audio recap of the Above All launch party and how we will be involved in Above All this year.
While Above All will be the bulk or our coverage on this website and our YouTube Channel, we are looking to implement some new devotions and other content on our website as well. We can't commit to a release schedule just yet, but here are some of our ideas:
Book Reviews: We'll examine a book we recently read and post our thoughts. We've done these in the past and they have been well received. Check out a past written review here.
Case Studies: In the similar vein to how we covered the gospels last year, we will take a person from the Bible and break down their life and what makes them unique and valuable to our understanding of God and how to relate with Him. We'll couple that with more modern examples of people who had similar experiences to show how the Bible inspires every generation and every generation can see ordinary people do great things through Christ. For an example of this, check out our study on Matthew.
God vs ___________________: A series where we will compare God with a deity from another religion or another ideology from secular society. Are there similarities to God and the descriptions of other deities? Do other ideologies follow similar paths to Christianity? If so, what are the differences and what makes God and Christianity the only choice?
Apply: This will be a study where we examine tenants laid out in the Bible and look at how we can apply them today. We'll answer the who, what, when, where, why and how of every idea put forth in the Bible to discover the Biblical way of living your life. We've done several series on this. Most notably would be the LYL series
End Times Today: One of our editor's greatest passions is the study of end times. In this series, he will break down one end times prophecy at a time to show us where we are today, signs of this prophecy's fulfillment in the past, how this prophecy will progress going forward, any similar prophecies that have already been fulfilled, and what we must do with the information we have now about this prophecy.
As mentioned above, not all of these projects will be launched immediately. Due to our involvement in and coverage of Above All, we will have a limited opportunity to get to all of these. However, starting next week, we will provide you with a book review. It is John Piper's A Peculiar Glory. We read this last year and have been excited to review it. Look for it around Wednesday on this website in written form and on YouTube sometime on Friday, February 16.
Thanks for taking time to read what we are up to and we hope you join us as we move TWTL forward and hopefully bring more people into greater understanding of Jesus Christ and His Word!
God Bless and Keep Searching.
