For the purpose of this lesson, we are going to go through the rest of Proverbs 31 verse-by-verse. You can follow along here. Due to the length of this one, we will be extending our finale to 3 parts. Woo hoo! Enjoy.
10 The term virtuous means powerful and is used in other scriptures to describe the Israelite armies when they served God. When we choose to follow God's Wisdom, we will find something more valuable than anything in this world: victory. Activation: commit to letting God's Wisdom lead you by reading His Word and praying daily. 11 If we will have confidence in God's Wisdom for us, we will not want for anything from this world. Activation: Practice confidence in God by trusting Him with your situations and dilemmas instead of trying to solve them by yourself. 12 God's Wisdom will result in prosperity and not destruction. Even better, this prosperity will follow us throughout our lives. What the prosperity will be hinges on what God desires for us. We just have to do verse 11 and we will receive verse 12. Activation: Let God's good things enter into your life by mirroring your desires to His ways. If what you want lines up with the Word, it will surely come to you. 13 God's Wisdom will provide us with the exact covering we need for any situation. Moreover, this covering will originate from the power of Almighty God on our behalf. Activation: Let God's power start covering your situations. Pray the power of the Holy Ghost into each thing you face daily. See how unleashing the power of God changes your situation over time. 14 God's abilities go beyond ours. Just as a land merchant couldn't cross the Mediterranean by foot, we can't cross over our situations to find solutions on our own. God is like the merchant's ships. He goes where no man can and returns with greater reward than we can imagine. Activation: Let God take control of your situation instead of trying to find it for yourself. See what amazing things God brings to you because you trust Him and His Wisdom. 15 Wisdom gets out ahead of our situations. While we are stuck on square one, it is finding the solution. All we have to do is receive the plan that is brought to us and we will find victory. Activation: When your situation strikes, don't panic. Instead, go to God and listen for his plan for you. It is most likely He already has the solution worked out. 16 Wisdom isn't in a rush. When it sees a solution is carefully examines every angle. It is patient and diligent to find the right solution for the dilemma that is faced. When it finds the solution it makes sure that the best practices are put in place to produce the greatest results. Activation: Let God be your surveyor. Trust Him to pick out the right place, time and situation for your solution. Listen for His direction so you are in harmony with His will when the solution is prepared and ready to take shape. 17 Wisdom doesn't slack up. It is always looking to advance itself. There are no false doctrines or shaky foundations getting into Wisdom's path. It is founded on the Word and through prayer and doesn't allow any other voices or ideas to tamper with it. Activation: Try letting God's Word and His voice through prayer to be your main source of direction. Read the scripture daily and take time to think on what you read rather than just making it a practice. Consider what you are praying before you say it so you don't fall into the trap of vain repetition. This will make your Bible and prayer time more meaningful and will advance you in God's Kingdom. 18 Wisdom knows what it produces is good. It is confident in its practices and production. It also is willing to go beyond what others consider acceptable or expected. Activation: Take your walk with God beyond the norm. Go further in your prayer time and Word time. Get involved in church and community in ways you haven't before. Let God guide you in what to do and how to do and be confident knowing that your production will be good. 19 Wisdom is diligent in producing for us. It is streamlined and persistent in its process. God is making sure that we will have what we need to be covered. Activation: Give thanks to God for all that he is doing to cover you. In your praise, consider how you can be diligent and persistent to help others. Ask God to guide you to these opportunities. That's that for this one. We'll return next time with the last 12 verses of Proverbs 31 and see how much more God, through His wisdom, does for us. In the meantime, consider that you are made by God and have God in you to do great things. How can you be more like Wisdom in these last few verses? Which of the above explanations describes things you have done? Where do you need to improve? Let the answers to these questions further guide you in your pursuit of God and His ways.
